Domestic Violence Counselor - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Domestic Violence Counselor to join our team at Maze of Life Resource Center. This is a remote position that allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals affected by domestic violence. As a Domestic Violence Counselor, you will provide essential support and guidance, helping clients navigate their challenges and fostering healthier relationships.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and barriers of participants.
• Develop tailored intervention strategies based on best practices in domestic violence intervention.
• Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing feedback and support throughout their journey.
• Collaborate with community resources to ensure comprehensive support for participants.
• Maintain accurate documentation of participant attendance and progress in compliance with legal guidelines.
• Engage in regular training and professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Participate actively in team meetings to enhance program delivery and participant outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in domestic violence counseling or related fields.
• Certification in domestic violence prevention and intervention, particularly in Partner Abuse Intervention Programs (PAIP) or Batterers Intervention Prevention Program (BIPP).
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
• Proven experience in facilitating group discussions and managing group dynamics.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in domestic violence intervention.

Nice to Have
