Distribution Center Operations Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Distribution Center Operations Manager to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a complex distribution center environment, ensuring it is an outstanding place to work. The Distribution Center Operations Manager will supervise various functions including Inbound Operations, Warehouse Operations, Outbound Operations, and Transportation Operations. You will work closely with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to develop strategies that maximize productivity and leverage expenses.

What You'll Do

• Manage operational excellence across all warehouse areas, ensuring efficient operations of warehouse management systems and related equipment.
• Assist the GM or AGM in evaluating and recommending alternatives for work methods and staffing to achieve timely movement and processing of products.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve while leading associates to anticipate and solve problems.
• Coach, train, and develop associates through both informal and formal training programs, maintaining a union-free work environment.
• Ensure a culture of safety by monitoring safety metrics and following Home Depot safety policies and procedures.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure optimal performance and metrics are achieved.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a distribution center environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Open to relocation for advancement opportunities.

• Experience with change management and driving communication at all levels.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a distribution or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures in a warehouse setting.
