Director of UX Design - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of UX Design remote to lead and shape the overall user experience vision at iHerb. This position will allow you to build and scale a high-performing UX design team while partnering with product, customer experience (CX), and cross-functional stakeholders. You will champion customer-first design across all digital touchpoints, focusing on delivering intuitive, delightful, and accessible experiences for millions of global customers.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive the long-term UX vision and strategy for iHerb’s web and mobile platforms.
  • Oversee the end-to-end user experience on our global website across all platforms (desktop, mobile web, and app).
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a team of UX designers, researchers, and design managers.
  • Advocate for design thinking and human-centered design practices across the organization.
  • Get hands-on with projects when necessary to drive them forward.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, CX, and Marketing to align on goals, priorities, and execution.
  • Translate business objectives into customer-centric design solutions that drive growth and retention.
  • Establish and maintain scalable design systems, ensuring consistency across platforms.

Requirements

  • A minimum of twelve (12) years of design experience with a focus on eCommerce or a related field.
  • Five (5) plus years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience with A/B testing and a strong portfolio showcasing design leadership, strategy, and execution.
  • Experience leading a product-focused high-performance design team.
  • Experience working with product, business stakeholders, and user researchers to drive strategy, vision, and execution.
  • Experience managing processes and teams in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with design systems and tools such as Figma.
  • A user-centered design approach and a highly collaborative, low-ego approach to design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with graphic development software (Photoshop, ImageReady, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred.
