Director of Communications and Content - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Director of Communications and Content to join our team at Chainalysis. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic communications team while working remotely. As the Director of Communications and Content, you will play a crucial role in shaping our narrative and enhancing our brand presence in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a small in-house team of global PR and social media specialists, writers, and agency teams globally.
• Act as “Editor in Chief” of the company blog, ensuring high editorial quality for posts ranging from original research to SEO content.
• Manage major thought leadership media campaigns and inbound media requests.
• Collaborate closely with senior executives to enhance their public profiles.
• Develop relationships with key journalists in mainstream media and cryptocurrency-specific outlets to secure top-tier coverage.
• Leverage breaking news opportunities related to cryptocurrency regulation and market developments.
• Systematically test new channels to reach untapped audiences.
• Train and maintain a bench of expert spokespeople for media engagements.

Requirements

• A degree in journalism, liberal arts, or a related writing-intensive program.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in communications, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing PR agencies on a global scale.
• Proven track record of designing and running data-driven media campaigns.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage change effectively.
• Established relationships with top-tier media outlets and influencers.
