Dialysis Patient Care Technician - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) in a remote opportunity, you will play a vital role in changing lives by providing essential care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This position allows you to be an integral part of a cross-functional team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. You'll work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to support patients with renal failure.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care by ensuring safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
- Gather patient statistics before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatment, and terminating treatment as needed.
- Collect patient blood samples according to physician orders.
- Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Clean and disinfect machines after treatment, conducting safety checks and logging results for quality control.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations while working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse.
- Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings to enhance your skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
