About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Dialysis Patient Care Technician Floater to join our team remotely. As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician Floater, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with renal failure across our clinics in Central Georgia, including Forsyth, Gray, Griffin, Hawkinsville, Macon, and Milledgeville. This position allows you to make a significant impact on patients' lives while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring safe and comfortable dialysis treatment for patients.
- Gather patient statistics before and after treatment, initiate treatment, and monitor patients throughout the process.
- Terminate treatment and collect blood samples as per physician orders.
- Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control, adhering to all protocols and regulations.
- Utilize personal protective equipment and follow appropriate safety measures during patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education offerings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Patient Care Technician preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies in patient care.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in dialysis or related fields.
