About the Role
We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Pearster. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a U.S.-based company, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud migration and application modernization efforts, ensuring that our solutions are robust, secure, and efficient.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Enforce security best practices across cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to streamline release processes.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps practices and tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or similar).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
- Experience working in distributed/remote teams.
- Upper-intermediate to advanced English level (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
