DevEx Engineering Lead - On-Site Role in Valencia
About the Role
We are seeking a talented DevEx Engineering Lead to join our team in Valencia, Spain. This is an on-site role, and relocation is mandatory if you are currently located in a different country. As a DevEx Engineering Lead, you will own the strategy, tooling, and culture that make every BrainRocket engineer faster and happier.
What You'll Do
- Lead the DevEx Engineering team and own our Internal Developer Platform.
- Establish measurable, self-service practices around build, release, and observability.
- Communicate closely with all engineering departments to identify pain points and solutions to improve product development.
- Accumulate best practices and create reusable company-wide solutions.
- Drive the TechRadar initiative, assessing and adopting new technologies.
- Collect developer-centric KPIs and run satisfaction surveys to iterate on tooling.
- Develop and deliver internal training programs and documentation for onboarding new developers.
- Establish mentorship opportunities and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading DevEx, DevRel, or Platform teams.
- Strong skills in Node.js & TypeScript, with experience in Go, Python, or Java.
- Proven ability to influence executives and partner teams.
- Prior experience with Internal Developer Platforms or DevEx initiatives.
- Familiarity with tools like Port.io, Cortex, Backstage.
- Understanding of microservices architectures and team/service ownership models.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.
- Familiarity with developer experience metrics and analytics.
