Designer I - Entry-Level Remote Position at TEECOM
About the Role
We're hiring a Designer I to join TEECOM as an entry-level remote position. This role focuses on building discipline fundamentals through hands-on Revit modeling, coordination, and documentation while learning TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and standards that support coordinated construction document delivery across various disciplines.
What You'll Do
- Prepare Revit models, update drawings, assist with reports and calculations, and take meeting notes.
- Support coordination activities to help keep projects aligned and moving forward.
- Participate in structured training journeys and shadow senior consultants to gain hands-on exposure to Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, and other technology disciplines.
- Work closely with production staff to strengthen discipline knowledge and delivery consistency.
- Maintain organized models, documentation, and markups that reflect accurate and current design intent.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent experience in design, drafting, or technology systems.
- 0-2 years of experience in the AEC industry, design or technology systems, or related professional environments.
- Exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or other drafting/modeling tools is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to track tasks and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in standard software tools (Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, Slack).
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with BIM coordination concepts (model linking, worksets, clash identification).
- Industry certifications such as EIT or CDT.
- Introductory Revit/BIM/drafting certifications.
