About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated DC Operations Manager to join our team remotely. In this role, you will oversee operations within a complex distribution center environment, ensuring it remains an outstanding place to work. As a DC Operations Manager remote, you will collaborate with the General Manager to develop strategies that maximize productivity and minimize expenses for the Home Depot distribution center.

What You'll Do

  • Manage operational excellence across all warehouse areas, ensuring efficient operations of warehouse management systems and related equipment.
  • Assist the GM or AGM in evaluating work methods and recommend alternatives for improved efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce overall cost-to-serve while leading associates to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Coach, train, and develop associates through formal and informal training programs.
  • Ensure a culture of safety by adhering to Home Depot safety policies and monitoring operational metrics.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with change management and driving improvements in operational processes.
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment.
