About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Consultant - Climate Adaptation to join our dynamic team at AtkinsRéalis. This remote role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on climate resilience initiatives both in the UK and internationally. As a Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in climate risk assessment and adaptation planning to deliver high-quality advisory services.

What You'll Do

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of climate advisory services, focusing on climate risk assessment, adaptation planning, and climate finance.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and high-quality project delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across various sectors including water, transport, and energy.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow our climate consultancy offerings.
• Contribute to the development of innovative digital products and solutions, enhancing our service delivery.
• Utilize climate data effectively, including GIS and programming, to support project objectives.
• Collaborate with other business units within AtkinsRéalis to deliver integrated and impactful solutions.

Requirements

• Degree level education (2:1 or above) in a relevant field such as geography, environmental science, or engineering.
• Experience in the climate change sector, ideally in a consulting or advisory capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Proactive and highly motivated, with a commitment to delivering positive climate impacts.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas as required.

• A relevant Master’s or PhD in a related discipline.
