Compliance Specialist (Remote) - Decentralized Compliance Management

About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist (Remote) to join our team at Signal Iduna. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing compliance risks while working collaboratively in a small, harmonious team. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of our compliance program.

What You'll Do

• Identify and evaluate compliance risks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Prepare, analyze, and document compliance-related matters for internal reporting.
• Communicate the outcomes of compliance program implementations to the Board and Chief Compliance Officer.
• Serve as a cross-hierarchical point of contact and provide guidance on compliance topics.
• Monitor risk-reducing measures and develop improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with the central compliance office to enhance the compliance management system.
• Engage in complex business processes, laws, and regulations.
• Work independently to advance compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in law, business administration, or a completed commercial training with a focus on compliance.
• Experience with regulatory terms such as VVaG, MaGo, Solvency I and II.
• Strong understanding of life insurance terminology and complex business processes.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
• Team player with a reliable, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
• Willingness to take initiative and drive topics independently.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a compliance role.
• Familiarity with compliance management systems.
• Knowledge of risk management practices.
