Commercial Solution Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We're hiring a Commercial Solution Engineer to join our dynamic team at Snowflake. This remote position offers the opportunity to empower enterprises to achieve their full potential through innovative data solutions. As a Commercial Solution Engineer, you will collaborate with our account sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs and help them choose Snowflake as their preferred solution.
What You'll Do
- Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
- Create and develop technical champions in your accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win.
- Stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology and confidently present roadmap features to customers and prospects.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake effectively.
- Collaborate with other sales engineers to enhance skills and learn from experiences.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products.
- Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
- Collaborate with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and account strategies.
Requirements
- Sales engineering/solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.).
- Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences.
- Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Ability to solve customer-specific business problems and apply Snowflake’s solutions.
- Customer-facing skills to effectively communicate our vision to a variety of audiences.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with modern data technology (e.g., dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, Git, etc.).
- Experience with data science and machine learning technology.
