About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Educator / Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our team at Lee Health. This role is pivotal in enhancing clinical excellence through the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff. As a Clinical Educator, you will facilitate the professional growth of nurses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care. This position is not remote, and it is based at our HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and evaluate learning programs that promote nursing excellence and competency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and staff satisfaction.
  • Conduct orientation and ongoing training for nursing staff across various units.
  • Utilize nursing theory and clinical expertise to develop educational materials.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance clinical practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; a Master's Degree in Nursing Education is preferred.
  • At least five years of bedside clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current Florida RN Licensure is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support certification and other relevant certifications are required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Experience in formal or informal teaching roles.
  • Postgraduate certification in nursing education.
