About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Director - Small Animal Practice to lead our established small animal practice in Ranelagh, Dublin. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced clinician to combine hands-on clinical excellence with strategic oversight and people leadership. As a Clinical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our practice while enjoying a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and influence the clinical standards and team performance within the practice.
• Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care, overseeing all surgical activity.
• Mentor colleagues and support complex decision-making processes.
• Guide clinical protocols and develop the skills of veterinary and nursing staff.
• Play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, and performance development.

Requirements

• VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 5 years’ experience in small animal practice.
• Proven leadership experience, ideally at a senior or lead vet level.
• Strong surgical background and a commitment to high standards of care.
• Organized, resilient, and capable of balancing clinical work with decision-making.
• Passion for mentoring and supporting team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience in managing clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Previous involvement in teaching or training within a veterinary context.
• Familiarity with modern veterinary diagnostic tools and technologies.
