Casual Bus Driver - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Casual Bus Driver to join our team at IRT Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact in the lives of our elderly residents. As a Casual Bus Driver, you will play a key role in facilitating access to social activities and reducing isolation among our residents. You will be responsible for transporting residents between various locations, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.

What You'll Do

• Pick up and drop off elderly residents from various locations while providing assistance with access and egress from the bus as required.
• Review suitable venues in the community that meet the needs of our elderly residents.
• Maintain the general cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
• Coordinate and attend after-hours events as needed.
• Provide companionship and support to residents during transport.

Requirements

• Previous experience driving passenger vehicles.
• A current Light Rigid (LR/MR) Licence.
• A current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work across two days.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Experience working with elderly clients is desirable.

Nice to Have

• Experience in community services or similar roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
