Cashbook Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Cashbook Accountant remote position at Element Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing bank statement postings and cash allocations, contributing to our mission of providing innovative solutions in the specialty chemicals industry.

What You'll Do

• Post bank statements and allocate incoming and outgoing payments daily across Europe.
• Handle foreign exchange accrual postings during month-end closing.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support internal and external audits related to cash booking processes.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold SOX requirements and company policies.

Requirements

• A degree in accounting or finance, or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in English for daily communication, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in Hungarian is mandatory.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP or JDE is a plus.
• Experience in shared services centers is advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of additional European languages.
• Prior experience in bank accounting.
