Associate Electrical Test Engineer - Onsite Role in Aerospace

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at Zachary Piper Solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work in the aerospace sector, focusing on electrical testing and quality assurance. As an Associate Electrical Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and performance through rigorous testing procedures. This position is 100% onsite in Midland, Texas, providing a hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with product design teams and subsystem lead engineers to define test requirements.
• Develop, document, and mature test plans, test procedures, and testing processes.
• Execute test procedures and ensure adherence to engineering and industry standards.
• Train technical personnel and provide hands-on technical support as needed.
• Implement and optimize test automation methods and tools.
• Prepare and present detailed test reports for engineering leadership.
• Serve as a subject-matter resource on test methodologies and equipment.

Requirements

• 0–2+ years of engineering or laboratory testing experience.
• Knowledge of electrical test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, source meters).
• Familiarity with battery systems, PV solar cells, and environmental/vibration testing.
• Experience using laboratory software such as LabView, MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar.
• Understanding of test automation practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Nice to Have

• Experience in aerospace electronics.
• Familiarity with compliance testing and engineering standards.
• Hands-on experience in an R&D laboratory environment.
