About the Role

Gersh is seeking a highly organized, driven Assistant to support our Co-Chairman in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This Assistant to Co-Chairman role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with top executives in the entertainment industry while managing a variety of tasks that are crucial to the success of our operations. As an Assistant to Co-Chairman, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day activities of our Co-Chairman, who oversees the Below-the-Line (BTL) and Motion Picture Literary departments.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls from clients, producers, production companies, and studio executives.
  • Generate client deal memos, invoices, and start paperwork to ensure smooth operations.
  • Send clients script submissions and coordinate client meetings effectively.
  • Update client avails, resumes, and websites to maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate deal points to the accounting department through Trust Accounting and assist with payment tracking.
  • Maintain and update project tracking grids to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports to assist in financial tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, preferably assisting a high-volume executive.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Positive attitude and highly organized, able to work well under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with key players across the entertainment industry.
  • Experience in project management tools or software.
  • Knowledge of script submissions and deal-making processes.
