About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team in the Health & Fitness industry. This remote position will support several locations in California, including Sacramento and Woodland. As an Area Manager, you will provide leadership and support for up to 8 clubs, ensuring that we deliver an exceptional member experience while achieving our business goals. You will collaborate with club teams to gather feedback, implement critical initiatives, and drive improvements in our services.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team to achieve membership acquisition, retention, and revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Oversee ancillary programs and revenue streams, ensuring that all targets are met.
  • Ensure clubs maintain a safe and well-kept environment by implementing safety and operational policies effectively.
  • Review daily KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with General Managers to increase net memberships and improve retention rates.
  • Support GMs in business execution and share best practices for operational efficiency.
  • Work with the Area Facilities Manager to address facility concerns and maintain member experience standards.
  • Coach and develop team members to support their professional growth.

Requirements

  • A college degree in business, retail, or hospitality is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably as a General Manager in the fitness or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple units and develop operational strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong operational leadership skills with a focus on safety and member satisfaction.
  • A passion for fitness, health, and wellness.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with personal training and group fitness.
