About the Role

We are seeking an Admissions Representative - Remote Opportunity to join our team at Career Systems Development. In this role, you will play a crucial part in planning and implementing outreach programs to ensure a sufficient number of referrals for Job Corps participation. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young individuals seeking educational and vocational opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and implement local outreach programs to achieve contracted goals for Job Corps participation.
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with applicants to assess their suitability for the program.
  • Collect and record accurate data and signatures on all applicable forms.
  • Review and assess all application materials and personal observations.
  • Approve or deny applications to Job Corps, except those needing medical or mental health review.
  • Provide timely travel authorization and information as appropriate.
  • Establish rapport with applicants and provide ongoing support throughout the application process.
  • Maintain and update records according to Federal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or an Associate’s degree with two years of related experience.
  • Experience in outreach and admissions, preferably with Job Corps or similar youth development programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with community partners and youth groups.
  • Valid State driver’s license.
  • Ability to relate effectively to students and maintain positive partnerships with center staff.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with Job Corps.
  • Knowledge of Job Corps or similar training programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
