Sustainability /​ ESG Consultant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability / ESG Consultant remote to join our team at IPTO. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our mission towards a greener and more sustainable future. Your contributions will support key activities related to sustainability reporting, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of our Group’s ESG strategy.

What You'll Do

• Support the preparation of the annual Sustainability Report in line with national and international sustainability reporting standards (e.g., ESRS, GRI, TCFD recommendations, ATHEX ESG Index).
• Track and monitor greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with new national and European sustainability-related Directives and Regulations (e.g., EU Taxonomy).
• Systematically monitor and update the indicators included in the IPTO Group’s Sustainability Report.
• Support the implementation of the Group’s sustainability strategy, including goal-setting and coordination with other IPTO Departments.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, or Economics.
• At least 2 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability consulting, and/or climate-related topics.
• Very good written and oral communication skills in Greek and English.
• Strong command of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the legal/regulatory framework, international standards, and best practices in ESG.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sustainability software tools.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations.
