Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack (Remote) to join Sigma Computing. In this role, you will help transform how businesses operate by delivering a high-performance platform built on modern data architecture. You will be part of a talented team of engineers dedicated to making data easily accessible for all users. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will tackle challenging problems and deliver impactful capabilities across our stack to build world-class technology.

What You'll Do

• Develop software using the latest developer tools and programming languages such as Rust, Go, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
• Build high-performance interactive experiences that enable analytics and workflows on top of modern data warehouses.
• Design and implement new software features to support our rapidly growing user base.
• Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, design, product, customer support, sales, and marketing, to build innovative product capabilities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in building and maintaining high-quality software.
• Experience in building and deploying robust and secure web applications in a continuous deployment environment.
• A strong sense of craftsmanship and a desire to be a great teammate while having fun at work.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and a healthy academic curiosity to solve challenges at Sigma.
• Experience in building software capabilities for analyzing large-scale data web applications.

Nice to Have

• Data-driven aptitude and its application to solve distributed system problems.
• Experience in data model design and API development to enable customer-facing capabilities.
• Prior experience working in a high-growth company solving technical problems to enable continued success.
