Somali–English Translation Checker - Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for a Somali–English Translation Checker to join our remote team. As a Translation Checker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the accuracy of AI translations. This position allows you to work independently, checking translations at your own pace while contributing to the improvement of AI systems.

What You'll Do

• Check translations by comparing original Somali texts with their English counterparts.
• Work approximately 2–3 hours a day, ensuring quality and accuracy in your checks.
• Complete all tasks independently without the use of translation software.
• Utilize your experience as a translator or reviewer to enhance the translation process.
• Achieve an average checking rate of 120 sentence pairs per hour.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Somali and English is essential.
• Experience in translation or reviewing is required.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Familiarity with translation tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or Smartcat is a plus.
