Software Engineering Manager - AI-Native SaaS Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to join Diligent Corporation, a leader in AI-driven governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) SaaS solutions. This Software Engineering Manager remote position will allow you to lead the development of our innovative AI-native product, which empowers organizations to navigate the complexities of ESG and sustainability effectively. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of ethical business practices while managing a high-performing engineering team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the technical roadmap with an AI-first mindset, overseeing the full-stack SaaS implementation.
• Drive the development of advanced GenAI systems, including RAG pipelines and semantic search.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Design and implement distributed systems and cloud-native architectures capable of supporting over one million global users.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and DevOps teams to align technical delivery with Diligent’s long-term strategy.
• Ensure data integrity and AI quality by leading the development of centralized workflows for parsing and validating survey data.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in leading teams and delivering complex SaaS platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and React, along with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience in designing and delivering production-grade AI systems leveraging LLMs and vector databases.
• Deep experience with AWS, including Bedrock and enterprise-scale AI deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python and AI-oriented frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks like LangGraph and CrewAI.
