About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Vibration Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in providing expert consultation and implementation support in Vibration Analysis and Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA) for rotating machinery and industrial equipment. As a Senior Vibration Engineer, you will ensure optimal vibration monitoring, diagnostics, and reliability solutions that minimize downtime and enhance equipment performance.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on Vibration Analysis and ESA, providing deep technical guidance on implementation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Support customer-facing activities, including technical consultations, demonstrations, on-site support, and training to ensure successful adoption of Vibration and ESA solutions.
  • Perform sensor testing, route-based testing, and product support testing to validate hardware and software performance in real-world applications.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) on InsightCM (ICM) releases, focusing on vibration and ESA features to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by providing technical input, solution architecture, and accurate scoping of vibration and ESA-related requirements.
  • Consult directly with customers to assess their vibration and reliability needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Applications Engineer and Sales team to develop tailored technical proposals and integration strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex vibration-related issues in industrial applications, including motors, pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Independently manage technical projects with minimal supervision, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Stay current with advancements in vibration analysis technologies and predictive maintenance tools.

Requirements

  • Vibration Analyst Certification - Category 2 (Cat 2) at a minimum.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on practical experience in online motor testing with at least 5 years in Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA).
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with vibration analysis techniques.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive technical solutions from consultation through implementation.
  • Strong experience in customer-facing technical roles within industrial or reliability engineering environments.
  • Proficiency in vibration data collection and analysis tools (e.g., CSI, SKF, Bently Nevada).
  • Excellent collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning and AI applied to condition monitoring.
  • Industry experience in oil and gas, pulp and paper, or mineral and mining.
  • Familiarity with industry standards related to vibration and machinery diagnostics.

What We Offer
