Senior Test Engineer - Embedded Software Automation

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team at JPS Tech Solutions. This Senior Test Engineer remote role focuses on embedded software test automation, specifically within the telematics sector. You will play a crucial role in validating our client’s digital systems using advanced simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments, ensuring high-quality deliverables for the Connectivity division.

What You'll Do

• Lead and execute end-to-end telematics testing using simulation and HIL setups.
• Perform software verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across software and electronics.
• Drive release testing, defect resolution, and field issue investigations.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance on verification and validation best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams across development, systems, and hardware groups.
• Utilize vendor and internal tools effectively to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Support local testing operations; relocation to Peoria required.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software, systems, or telematics testing.
• Strong experience with HIL, simulation-based testing, and connectivity systems.
• Solid background in test automation and release validation.
• Proven ability to independently manage work while mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
