Senior Systems Engineer - Japanese Speaking (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to join our dynamic team in London. This Senior Systems Engineer remote role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Japanese IT company, focusing on system integration and customer support. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and high customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Conduct system integration tasks for small-to-mid-sized projects, both on-site and off-site, ensuring adherence to customer IT policies.
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and online ticketing systems, delivering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support.
- Maintain and update support-related documentation, including site manuals and asset lists.
- Manage third-party vendors and build long-term partnerships to enhance service delivery.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and ensuring high standards of service.
- Assist in pre-sales activities by presenting proposals and collaborating with the sales department.
- Regularly assess and maintain customer systems, ensuring licenses and inventory are up to date.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to enhance system performance.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Cisco switch and router design and implementation.
- Experience in firewall design and implementation, as well as LAN network design.
- Proficiency in creating network design documentation, including network diagrams and IP address lists.
- Familiarity with Windows services, such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of server and storage technologies in both physical and virtual environments.
Nice to Have
- Cisco CCNP certification.
- Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud services, including IaaS and PaaS solutions like Azure and AWS.
