Senior Software QA Tester - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software QA Tester to join our dynamic team at HL Solutions LLC. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about quality assurance and testing in the tech industry. As a Senior Software QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough testing of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and integration platforms, with a preference for Adeptia.
• Utilize strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and test query creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the financial services sector, including FinTech, private equity, and investment accounting.
• Implement API testing using tools such as Postman, Bruno, and SoapUI, ensuring JSON/XML validation.
• Understand and apply data modeling concepts, schemas, transformations, and data lineage in your testing processes.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Ensure secure data handling practices and test authentication/authorization flows effectively.
• Communicate findings clearly and collaborate with globally distributed teams to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Mid-senior level experience in QA testing, particularly in financial services or related fields.
• Proven experience testing ETL workflows and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and query creation.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and data modeling concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple testing cycles simultaneously with high attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Adeptia, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks.
