About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Remote) to join our Scale Team at Airwallex. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our embedded finance platform, which powers global businesses. You will work with a team of over 2,000 innovative professionals dedicated to transforming the financial services landscape.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain multi-tenant infrastructure that supports enterprise-grade SLAs for availability, latency, and throughput.
• Own and develop cross-domain product features that require synthesizing knowledge across business, regulatory, and technical domains.
• Design integrations for enterprise prospects by translating their business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Compliance, and Sales to ensure successful project delivery.
• Utilize your expertise in Java/Spring Boot to develop scalable and maintainable systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of system/component design, balancing flexibility and simplicity.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in high-scale performance tuning and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Nice to Have

• Experience in Fintech, payments, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with OAuth2.0, API design, or developer documentation.
• Cross-region deployment or data residency compliance experience.
