Senior Software Engineer IV - Remote Support for SATCOM Programs

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer IV to join our dynamic team remotely. This role involves supporting critical SATCOM programs, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on U.S. Department of Defense communications solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer IV remote, you will collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to delivering innovative software solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop, document, test, and debug software applications that solve complex business and mission problems.
• Utilize various programming and scripting languages to design and develop complex software applications.
• Work in a Windows environment with relational databases and client-server applications.
• Provide hands-on support in a dynamic environment, addressing integration issues and implementing fixes/enhancements.
• Collaborate with team members, program stakeholders, and DoD contractor personnel to ensure project success.
• Support travel as required for customer interface and technical meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience, or a HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.
• Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies, including SQL and data analytics.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL database management systems on Windows or Linux platforms.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Master of Science in Engineering or other STEM discipline.
• Experience implementing automation solutions using Ansible.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Prior experience with direct customer interaction.
