About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer specializing in Node.js and Python to join our team at LivePerson. This is a remote position where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven customer experiences. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance backend systems that serve our Conversational Cloud platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of critical backend components, ensuring high availability and performance for our mission-critical systems.
• Develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance services using your expertise in distributed systems engineering.
• Navigate complex systems to identify challenges and create effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster team growth.
• Debug production issues and maintain existing codebases to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Node.js and Python.
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithm design.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and debugging microservice-based applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience with databases such as Cassandra and MySQL.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Kafka and Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
