Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at MS2, a leader in transportation data management. This Senior Quality Assurance Engineer remote position allows you to work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure our transportation platform meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks that are reliable and easy for others to contribute to.
- Define and prioritize automated coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and trustworthy results.
- Own the operational health of the automation suite, reducing flaky tests and improving performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align on testing approaches.
- Establish and maintain test plans for key workflows, including regression and exploratory testing.
- Triage defects efficiently by isolating root causes and collaborating with engineers for resolution.
- Provide clear reporting on quality signals and recommend improvements based on data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with significant ownership of automation.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (C# or JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and defect triage.
- Experience testing systems with large datasets and complex workflows.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD and maintaining high-signal pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance and/or security testing concepts and tooling.
- Familiarity with AWS-hosted environments.
- Experience with GIS systems and map visualization tools.
