Senior QA Engineer - Remote Opportunities with Relocation

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team at GigRadar.io. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while also having the option for relocation to beautiful Bali, Indonesia. As a Senior QA Engineer, your mission will be to ensure the quality of our AI-powered growth engine that supports over 800 Upwork-first agencies. You will be responsible for breaking our product before our users do and helping us bullet-proof it.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, maintaining and improving test plans, cases, scenarios, and checklists across web (React/TypeScript) and service layers (REST, GraphQL).
• Build and extend reliable Playwright/Puppeteer suites for regression, smoke, and performance testing, ensuring CI processes with GitHub Actions are efficient and effective.
• Design adversarial prompt-injection and jailbreak scenarios for our Langfuse/OpenAI pipelines, validating guardrails, rate limits, and red-team exploits.
• Create Postman and code-level tests that rigorously test our API endpoints, validate schema changes, and surface latent edge cases.
• Foster a quality culture by collaborating with developers on pull requests, championing shift-left testing, and turning bug reports into repeatable test artifacts.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on QA experience working on complex, production-grade software systems.
• Exceptional candidates with around 2 years of experience in automation-focused QA roles are also welcome.
• An automation-first mindset, thinking in systems, inputs/outputs, and repeatability even when testing manually.
• Strong fundamentals in QA, including test design techniques, exploratory testing, regression planning, and defect lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs with hands-on experience validating API behavior beyond the UI.
• Ability to work asynchronously, write clear documentation, and provide direct, constructive feedback.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming languages, with the ability to read test code and understand automation patterns.
• Hands-on experience contributing to test automation frameworks like Playwright, Puppeteer, or Cypress.
• Practical exposure to GraphQL testing.
• Experience with CI/CD environments such as GitHub Actions or Vercel.
• Interest or early experience testing LLM-powered features or AI workflows.
• Basic performance or load testing exposure (k6, Artillery, etc.).
