Senior Prompt Engineer - Remote AI Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Prompt Engineer to join our innovative team at ICF. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States while contributing to cutting-edge AI solutions. As a Senior Prompt Engineer, you will design and implement advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) models that power our web3 documentation chatbot, ensuring it delivers accurate and helpful responses to user inquiries.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement custom generative LLMs (e.g., models similar to GPT) and discriminative LLMs (e.g., models similar to BERT).
  • Create wrapper applications based on ChatGPT and other LLMs.
  • Develop systems for AI alignment, Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF), and AI guardrails.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to evaluate LLMs across standardized performance benchmarks.
  • Utilize cutting-edge NLP and ML techniques to solve complex natural language problems.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with data science and core development teams to integrate AI technologies into internal and external tools.
  • Provide technical leadership in AI system audits and model accuracy improvements.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of strong background in NLP, ML, and data analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and familiarity with Azure.
  • Experience with popular ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Proven track record of shipping software and successfully released applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with generative large language model (LLM) fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience in cloud technologies relevant to AI deployment.
  • Familiarity with Databricks for large-scale data processing.
