Senior Product Designer - Remote AI Language Tutor

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to join our remote team at Fluently, an innovative AI language tutor that helps individuals worldwide enhance their conversational English skills. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our platform, ensuring it is intuitive, engaging, and effective for users aiming to build their careers in international companies.

What You'll Do

• Design and iterate on user interfaces and experiences for our AI language tutoring platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user satisfaction.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our designs are competitive and user-friendly.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture within the team.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in user-centered design methodologies and best practices.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and usability principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Experience in designing for educational technology or language learning platforms is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in educational contexts.
• Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
