About the Role
At Anchorage Digital, we are building the world’s most advanced digital asset platform for institutions to participate in crypto. We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our team remotely. As a member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Settlement Network business.
What You'll Do
- Drive the system architecture and technical direction for our projects.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to build, release, and maintain high-quality software.
- Mentor and guide team members in their technical skill development.
- Develop novel solutions for institutional clients, continuously innovating to improve our offerings.
- Foster a culture of efficient deterministic testing and minimize technical debt.
- Ship code that impacts the global economy while balancing speed and quality.
- Work across multiple product lines and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Influence the architecture and product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building API-first backend services (e.g., REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native microservices.
- Passionate about building automated tests alongside features.
- Real-world experience with complex distributed systems.
- Strong interest in code quality and infrastructure.
- Ability to prioritize end-user experience and business value.
- Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating systems).
- Self-described as creative, humble, ambitious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Nice to Have
- Professional experience with C++ or Go.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Background in system security (authentication, authorization, identity).
- Experience in the finance industry.
