Senior macOS Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior macOS Engineer to join our team remotely. In this Senior macOS Engineer remote position, you will be responsible for the architecture, engineering, automation, security, and lifecycle management of macOS endpoints and mobile devices across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to drive platform strategy and improve automation and compliance in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement scalable configurations using Jamf Cloud for macOS environments.
  • Develop and maintain macOS configuration profiles, policies, and compliance baselines.
  • Engineer secure provisioning workflows, including Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) and zero-touch deployments.
  • Create automation using scripting languages like Bash, Zsh, and Python to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage OS upgrades, patching strategies, and application lifecycle management.
  • Administer Jamf infrastructure configuration and optimization.
  • Implement and maintain patch management frameworks within Jamf.
  • Engineer and maintain mobile device management (MDM) using Microsoft Intune.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise macOS environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jamf Pro/Cloud administration and engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience managing mobile devices with Microsoft Intune.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Zsh, and Python.
  • Knowledge of macOS security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Experience integrating MDM with identity providers like Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Deep understanding of device lifecycle management.

Nice to Have

  • Jamf 300 or 400 certification.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune certifications.
  • Experience with Jamf Protect and Zero Trust security models.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments (5,000+ devices).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD or automation pipelines for endpoint management.
