Senior Human Resources Business Partner - Remote Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team at Smithfield Foods. As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and enhancing employee relations.

What You'll Do

• Act as a strategic partner to business units, providing HR guidance and support.
• Collect and analyze HR data to inform decision-making and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment.
• Maintain and manage the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records.
• Support various HR functions including personnel records, employee relations, and benefits administration.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior HR team members.
• Coordinate office engagement activities to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or union environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as SAP and Workday is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various levels of leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to relocate if necessary, with comprehensive relocation support available.

• Experience in a trucking or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with labor relations and payroll processing.
• Knowledge of recruiting systems like iCims.
