Senior Financial Risk Manager - Remote Position

About the Role

At Anchorage Digital, we are looking for a Senior Financial Risk Manager to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in protecting our firm and clients from various risks in the dynamic crypto market. As a Senior Financial Risk Manager, you will be responsible for real-time risk monitoring and reporting, making critical decisions that safeguard our assets and reputation.

What You'll Do

• Drive the development and refinement of risk monitoring frameworks and reporting infrastructure.
• Build and maintain quantitative models to measure market, counterparty, and liquidity risks across digital asset portfolios.
• Lead real-time monitoring of risk exposures with minimal oversight, especially during market dislocations.
• Manage crisis response protocols during systemic risk events, making rapid decisions on risk mitigating actions.
• Collaborate with Trading, Sales, Compliance, and Operations to ensure risk considerations are embedded in business decisions.
• Deliver daily risk updates to the Financial Risk team and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
• Contribute to the evolution of Anchorage's risk management culture by sharing insights across teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, ideally with exposure to digital assets.
• Deep expertise in risk monitoring and reporting, including real-time risk dashboards.
• Experience navigating market dislocations or crisis events, demonstrating decisive actions under pressure.
• Strong understanding of crypto market dynamics, including exchange and counterparty risks.
• Proficiency in risk modeling tools and data analysis (Python, SQL, or similar).

Nice to Have

• Direct experience at a crypto exchange or crypto-native financial institution.
• Experience through a major crypto crisis event and insights gained.
