About the Role

Join Polygon Labs as a Senior DevOps Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of blockchain payments. This remote position offers you the chance to work with a dynamic team dedicated to moving money on-chain and building a robust payments platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure for Polygon Labs’ payments platform, focusing initially on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring modularity and long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate with application engineers to define infrastructure requirements and support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply security-first principles across all workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Automate deployment and operational processes to enhance reliability and developer experience.
  • Establish and evolve infrastructure best practices aligned with site reliability engineering principles.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in building and operating cloud-native infrastructure in production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and CI/CD systems, including Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Professional experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider like AWS or Azure.
  • Ability to design secure, highly available systems and apply site reliability engineering best practices.
  • Experience in fast-paced, product-focused engineering teams with a strong bias toward automation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting production systems that handle financial or sensitive data.
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Google Cloud certifications, such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect.
  • Exposure to blockchain infrastructure or decentralized finance systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working across functions.
