Senior Data Scientist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative team at Emerging Travel Group. In this remote role, you will lead end-to-end machine learning projects, from task setting to solution deployment and support. Your expertise will help us enhance our data-driven decision-making processes and improve our services in the travel industry.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of machine learning models, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers to create datasets and define data requirements for various projects.
• Conduct A/B testing in partnership with data analysts, interpreting results and making recommendations for improvements.
• Develop and train models using classic machine learning and deep learning techniques, including solutions for text and image embeddings.
• Transfer models and code to production, supporting releases and integrations in a Python environment.
• Monitor model performance post-launch, addressing metrics, drift, and degradation while implementing improvement plans.
• Utilize SQL for independent dataset assembly, including joins and window functions.
• Employ MLflow, W&B, or DVC for experiment tracking and model management.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong background in managing end-to-end machine learning projects.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, with an understanding of model fine-tuning principles.
• Strong Python skills, focusing on production-quality code and model integration.
• Experience with machine learning monitoring and quality metrics.
• Familiarity with model interpretability and error analysis techniques.
• Conversational English proficiency is required.
