Senior Data Analyst - Economics for DeFi

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst - Economics to join Chainlink Labs, a leader in decentralized finance (DeFi). This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of decentralized economics by leveraging your expertise in data analysis and economic modeling.

Your Impact

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in designing and performing analyses that inform the Economics and Executive Leadership teams' decision-making processes. Your work will involve building and maintaining systems for the parameterization of production applications, directly impacting the Chainlink network's sustainability and efficiency.

• Design and implement novel mechanisms and incentive schemes to optimize network performance.
• Build models and simulations to evaluate investment opportunities and economic scenarios.
• Parameterize trading systems and optimize parameters for production applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Economics, Product, Engineering, Research, and Data Science to understand network dynamics.
• Operationalize processes and coordinate efforts to implement innovative solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role, particularly in trading or quantitative research.
• Deep understanding of financial and crypto markets, including incentives and economic models.
• Extensive background in financial modeling, data engineering, and model automation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python is mandatory.
• Experience in solving economic problems through statistical and econometric analyses.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in Economics or Finance, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with smart contract programming (Rust, Go, Solidity) is preferred.
• Published research in economics or crypto, such as papers on MEV, staking dynamics, or tokenomics.
