About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Legal - Remote to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our commercial agreements and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. As a Senior Counsel, Commercial Legal, you will have the opportunity to work on AI-enabled products and collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate risks associated with commercial transactions.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
  • Provide legal advice on various commercial matters, including SaaS agreements, data protection, and compliance operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives while managing legal risks.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, particularly in healthcare and data privacy, to provide informed counsel.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance legal operations and streamline contract negotiation processes.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial law, with a focus on contract negotiation and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws, including HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Experience with AI technologies, including NLP and LLMs, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
