About the Role

We are looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to join our team remotely. As a Senior COBOL Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing applications in COBOL, integrating with databases, and ensuring effective communication with both the team and clients. What You'll Do

  • Maintain and develop COBOL applications, ensuring integration with databases.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide clarity on daily tasks.
  • Anticipate opportunities and problems, developing preventive solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Refine technical processes to enhance productivity.
  • Utilize your expertise in CICS, DB2, JCL, CHANGEMAN, TSO, VSAM, and DEBUG Tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in programming with COBOL.
  • Solid knowledge of CICS, DB2, JCL, CHANGEMAN, TSO, VSAM, and DEBUG Tools.
  • Experience with databases such as DB2 and SQL.
  • Familiarity with mainframe development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with Hexavision is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Java and JIRA.
