About the Role

Join TRM Labs as a Senior Backend Software Engineer and help us build a safer world. In this remote position, you will leverage your expertise to develop reliable and scalable software solutions that serve our diverse customer base. As a key member of our Product Engineering team, you will design backend APIs and work on complex engineering challenges that enhance our blockchain analytics and AI solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain public APIs that are part of our API Product suite.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to transform functional visions into tangible roadmaps with clear outcomes.
  • Support internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to understand and empower their missions.
  • Design and build scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services, primarily using Node.js.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services.
  • Familiarity with storage systems such as relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and translate them into technical and product requirements.
  • Strong initiative and ownership, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.
  • Exceptional problem structuring skills and the ability to prioritize critical issues.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with AI technologies and their application in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint planning.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with diverse teams.
