Senior Analyst, Information Governance - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Analyst, Information Governance in a remote capacity, where you will be part of a forward-thinking team modernizing how the organization manages and protects its data. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a significant part in a major data transformation program that has real business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Support enterprise information governance activities while building deep subject matter expertise across digital and physical records.
  • Assist in delivering a large multi-year records destruction program, including retention scheduling, approvals, tracking, and defensible disposal of physical and digital records.
  • Manage day-to-day information governance operations across structured and unstructured data, utilizing tools such as SharePoint, M365, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with senior managers to deliver governance uplift activities and provide insights on information risk, retention, and compliance.
  • Coordinate supplier governance activities, including vendor engagement, storage provider interactions, service monitoring, and invoice processing.
  • Optimize tooling such as RecordPoint and Microsoft Purview, supporting classification, retention, and disposal processes.
  • Review data sets, records inventories, and assurance reports to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and risk areas.
  • Prepare clear documentation, reporting packs, and supporting materials for governance forums and training sessions.

Requirements

  • A background as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role with exposure to system implementation or process change.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence good information management practices.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment such as financial services, superannuation, government, insurance, or technology.
  • Preferred experience with information governance, structured and unstructured data, or records management.
  • Familiarity with tools like RecordPoint or Microsoft Purview is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
