Senior AEDC Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AEDC Test Engineer to join our team at GE Aerospace. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development and testing of next-generation military engines and rig test programs. As a Senior AEDC Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping test approaches and ensuring the success of our projects.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the on-site technical focal at AEDC, collaborating with the AEDC Integration Engineer and cross-functional teams.
• Act as Test Director to plan and lead engine test campaigns, ensuring all requirements are met.
• Manage the full test lifecycle from planning to execution, adhering to GE engineering and quality standards.
• Maintain proactive communication on priorities, schedules, and risks with stakeholders.
• Analyze and validate test data, documenting results and influencing product improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in test execution and quality, sharing best practices across teams.
• Mentor and guide on-site engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science; or a high school diploma with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in an engineering role, with significant exposure to engine and rig test environments.
• Strong experience in test planning and execution, including hardware coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN, with some travel required.
• Must maintain a US Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.

• Experience in DoD/Defense test facilities and processes.
• Established project management skills to coordinate multiple test projects.
• Familiarity with finance and scheduling tools, and data analytics tools.
