About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retirement Plan Administrator - Plan Terminations - Remote to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the termination processes of retirement plans, ensuring compliance with IRS and DOL regulations. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the successful administration of retirement plans while working remotely.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and manage the termination of retirement plans, ensuring all processes are compliant with ERISA regulations.
  • Prepare and file IRS Form 5500 and other necessary documentation related to plan terminations.
  • Conduct compliance testing and nondiscrimination testing for 401(k) plans.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional service and support throughout the termination process.
  • Utilize tools such as PensionPro and FTW for effective plan administration and data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all retirement plan activities.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure a smooth transition for clients during plan terminations.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in retirement plan administration or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations, ERISA compliance, and retirement plan operations.
  • Experience with compliance testing, including nondiscrimination testing for 401(k) plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with retirement plan software such as PensionPro.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • QKA certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with payroll processing and asset valuations.
