Remote Safety, Security and Compliance Auditor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Safety, Security and Compliance Auditor to join our team at Aero. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will report directly to the Manager of Safety and will be responsible for conducting internal audits across all company operations. What You'll Do

• Plan, prepare, and perform internal audits as part of our Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) and Compliance Monitoring.
• Conduct audits in accordance with Aero’s Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Document audit results, identify non-conformities, and create comprehensive reports for organizational leadership.
• Analyze IEP data trends to identify top risks and areas for improvement.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes to enhance safety and security operations.
• Communicate findings effectively with all levels of leadership within the organization.
• Monitor corrective actions from audits and FAA inspections to ensure they are implemented effectively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable standards, laws, and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in IEP or aviation compliance auditing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects within assigned timelines.
• Valid US passport or permanent residency with the ability to work in the USA and travel internationally.
• FAA licensed airman – Pilot (Commercial/ATP), A&P, or Dispatcher.
• Must pass a TSA Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).

Nice to Have

• 4-year degree in an aviation-related field.
• Experience in operations, airworthiness, quality, or safety in a 14 CFR Part 121 or 135 air carrier.
• Knowledge of applicable CFRs, OpSpecs, and FAA regulations.
• Experience with auditing to IS-BAO or AR/GUS standards.
